Jiaowei Xia，party chief of Dazhou municipal party committee met with Chairman Liu from TME on the morning of 09 September,2015. Both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on establishing West China’s Natural Gas Trading Center there. Other local officials participating in the reception are Guo Hengxiao, deputy party secretary of Dazhou municipal party committee, Li Tianman, Dazhou municipal dtanding committee member and secretary general, and Hu Jie, vice mayor of Dazhou.
Known as a comprehensive exchange, TME is co-established by Sichuan Province and the Tibet Autonomous Region, with its co-founders as China’s top financial institutions and leading enterprises in sectors of iron & steel, chemicals, mining, agriculture, as well as mass media in Western China. TME adopts an operation mode of E-commerce + Modern Logistics + Supply Chain Financing, with its traded items ranging from steel, chemicals, agriculture and forestry to precious metals, nonferrous metals, diamond, jewelry, wine & spirits, and vanadium & titanium products as well.
Firstly, Jao welcomed Liu’s visit to Dazhou city on behalf of the local party committee, government, and people, and then he briefly introduced Dazhou’s natural gas including resources, explorations, projects, and utilizations. According to the party chief, Dazhou has abundant natural gas resources, with prospective reserves of 3.8 trillion cubic meters, discovered reserves of 700 billion cubic meters, thus the third largest gas field in China, and as well the starting point of Sichuan Gas Transmission to East China project, and the largest production base of sulfur in Asia.
Nowadays, Dazhou’s production scale has reached a new level, with annual capacity of 20 billion cubic meters in terms of exploitation and utilization of natural gas. And more, a good job has been done in developing it as raw material and adopting it as fuel. So far, improvement has been made on local natural gas supporting facilities & natural gas chaine related chemical industry.
Jia Weixia is quoted as saying that his people are doing what they can to make Dazhou not only a regional central city but also a regional financial center linking Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Shaanxi, and to that end, competent financial enterprises including TME are welcome to Dazhou to look for good opportunities of investment and business operations so as to boost development of the local economy, expecting that TME give full play to its advantage as a trading platform to help Dazhou city expand its sales channels for the local characteristic products, and in return, Dazhou government is to provide the enterprises with excellent environment and service for development, so that they can accelerate and finish the early-stage work, and promote completion of the Western China’s Natural Gas Trading Center in a short time, achieving a win-win as ultimate goal.
Chairman Liu appreciated the warmness he received from Dazhou’s party chief Jiao Weixia and local people, and briefed Jia on the preliminary plan for establishment of Westerns China's Natural Gas Trading Center in Dazhou to bring about a win-win to both sides. Finally, Chairman Liu expressed his good prospect for Dazhou’s further development, especially unique advantages of its geography, location, resources, and industries, in hopes of a good cooperation with Dazhou in advancing the natural gas trading center project, and as a result, making contributions to the local economic and social development.
